Located in Farmington Hills, The Blood Cancer Foundation of Michigan, formerly the Children’s Leukemia Foundation of Michigan, is a nonprofit organization that offers support to any patient or family member affected by any type of the nearly 200 diseases in the blood cancer family. In 1952, a family founded the organization in their daughter’s memory. The family vowed that no one would have to walk the road alone after losing a child to blood cancer. In 2020, the organization changed its name to reflect its ongoing services to patients with other types of blood cancer. Today, the organization is dedicated to addressing the emotional, financial, and social needs of patients and families affected by blood cancer across Michigan. Since its first year of delivering services, the foundation has supported more than 30,000 patients and an untold number of their family members.
