The Ann Arbor Thrift Shop is a nonprofit organization that has been providing emergency social service aid through the sale of donated used clothing, housewares, and other items since 1932. More than 300 volunteer members accept, sort, price, and sell thousands of donated goods in the retail shop each month. In fiscal year 2019-2020, The Ann Arbor Thrift Shop gave more than $318,000 to help individuals and families in need and provided more than $25,000 a month to help people and families meet short-term difficulties, usually in amounts under $600. It has given more than $1 million during the last three years. The Ann Arbor Thrift Shop is open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday.
