Located in Redford Township, The Angel House is a nonprofit organization that brings awareness to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. It helps women escape their abusers and offers them a fresh new start in life while helping them build self-esteem. The goal is to serve as many women as possible across the United States by teaching them that there is a better way of life other than abuse and living in poverty. So far, The Angel House has connected with 12 states to help women with children across the United States. The organization offers classes that help victims get their lives back on track and holds weekly game nights to help raise money for women in need. The Angel House also hosts free support groups. While events have been put on hold, the organization is asking for donations of money, purses, and shoes.
