Teacher’s Pet: Dogs and Kids Learning Together is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Washington Township that pairs hard-to-adopt rescue dogs with at-risk youth for a 10-week training session. Student trainers work with the dogs on basic obedience commands to make them more adoptable so the group can place them into permanent, loving homes while the trainers themselves learn in a compassionate environment.
