Single Family Living (SFL) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Detroit and founded in 2013 by single parent Jeri Hunley. Single Family Living is committed to serving those who need it most: children in under-resourced communities who do not have access to a quality education due to economic and/or social barriers. The organization provides children with an opportunity to learn through various educational programs that focus on literacy, math, and science while also providing them with support services such as tutoring and mentorship programs; as well as community outreach events aimed at engaging families within their community.
