The Shelter Association of Washtenaw County provides temporary shelter and connections to services. It works with the community to distribute vital resources to people who are experiencing homelessness. The association serves more than 1,200 adults annually and provides for their basic needs including showers, laundry, phone access, and more. Nearly all adults experiencing homelessness in Washtenaw County have been helped by the association. The winter shelter is available Nov. 1-March 31 where people can have a safe place to sleep, food, medical care, and assistance finding housing. In order to keep everyone safe during COVID-19, masks and health screenings are required. Packard Health operates a clinic on site to anyone in need of medical services. There is also a community kitchen on-site that feeds anyone in need. The Shelter Association of Washtenaw County is housed at the Robert J. Delonis Center in downtown Ann Arbor and operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
