Second Chance at Life Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Westland that provides financial assistance to transplant patients waiting for, receiving, or recovering from a transplant. Funds raised by the organization go to support The Transplant Games of America – Team Michigan, Spectrum Health System, Beaumont Transplant Center Emergency Fund, Eversight – Michigan, Henry Ford Transplant Institute, Ascension St. John Hospital Transplant Emergency Fund, Michigan Medicine University of Michigan Transplant Center, and DMC Harper University Hospital. Since the organization was founded in June 2008, it has given more than $368,000.
