The Rugiero Promise Foundation is a volunteer only organization dedicated to improving the quality of life in the communities it serves. It was founded in 2011 and has since supported the Antonio Rugiero Sr. Diabetes Fund at the University of Michigan Comprehensive Diabetes Center, Children’s Leukemia Foundation of Michigan, Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan, University of Detroit Mercy-Volterra-Detroit Italian Residential College Foundation, Wayne County Goodfellow, the Capuchin Soup Kitchen, and more. It also sponsors annual charity events including the Rugiero Casino Royale to raise money and awareness for local charities. The 2020 event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 3 at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center in Dearborn. Volunteers of the organization provide administrative support and technology assistance, as well as event planning assistance.
