RIM Foundation Dancing with Our Stars Fundraiser

The RIM Foundation’s annual Dancing with Our Stars fundraiser took place April 21 at the Sound Board inside the MotorCity Casino in Detroit. Dancers competed for the Mirror Ball Trophy, and helped raise funds through sponsorships, table sales, and ticket sales. One dollar equaled one vote and was credited to their overall score. Proceeds from the event support the RIM Foundation’s adapted sports program, including Dance Mobility, which is Michigan’s only free ballroom dance program for people with disabilities. The RIM Foundation is a nonprofit group dedicated to helping people rebuild their lives after a serious illness or injury, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury. // Photos by Lindsay Schweickert
