The Oakland Mediation Center in Bloomfield Township was founded in 1989 with the vision of a community that embraces a conflict resolution path toward positive and lasting outcomes. The organization’s mission is to be a resource to educate, empower, and build relationships that lead to peaceful resolutions. OMC is an apolitical, nonprofit, volunteer-based Community Dispute Resolution Program center whose volunteers represent and serve the community by providing affordable conflict resolution and education services. Among the conflicts it helps resolve are neighborhood issues, custody and parenting time, divorce, small claims, civil, probate, and behavioral health.
