New Beginnings Animal Rescue is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Royal Oak that rescues and adopts out cats. The no-kill organization started in 2010 with a pet food pantry to help pets stay with owners who otherwise could not afford to feed them. In 2013 it opened its Adoption Center, which houses homeless animals and serves a hub for people to educate one another and learn the responsibilities of being a cat owner. Other services include searching for foster families and rehoming cats for owners who can no longer care for them.
