The Michigan Disability Rights Coalition is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in East Lansing that seeks to cultivate disability pride and strengthen the disability movement by recognizing it as a natural and beautiful part of life. The group focuses on ending violence toward the disabled, creating infrastructure for disability justice, ending racial inequity in the disabled community, increasing access to technology, and cultivating leaders in the space. The group also sponsors events and activities that promote sharing of best practice, collaborative planning, and the building of the consensus around policy impact goals.
