Media Preview of the Detroit Zoo’s Polk Penguin Conservation Center

The Detroit Zoo held a media preview of its new $30 million Polk Penguin Conservation Center on April 13. The 33,000-square-foot center features a chilled 325,000-gallon, 25-foot-deep aquatic area where visitors can observe penguins. The facility, home to more than 80 penguins, opens to the public on April 18.
