The Lymphoma Foundation of America, based in Ann Arbor, is a national charity devoted to helping lymphoma patients of all ages as well as funding research for a cure. The foundation has three fundamental priorities: supporting research to develop new treatments, identifying the environmental causes of lymphoma, and understanding how to prevent the disease. The Lymphoma Foundation of America provides patients with 24/7 access to a patient hotline, information on clinical trials, emergency travel aid, and more. The foundation also provides help getting second opinions, advice, and a support system for patients and their families. Donations are tax deductible and include free towing for vehicles being donated. The organization’s overhead rate is 1 percent of donations, and 99 cents of every dollar goes directly to helping patients and medical research.
