Life for Relief and Development is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Southfield that provides humanitarian aid to people regardless of race, gender, religion, and cultural background. Over the last 29 years, the organization has distributed more than $520 million in humanitarian aid and relief to more than 46 countries. The organization provides support in response to poverty, famine, social and economic turmoil, natural disasters, war, and other catastrophes. Recently, it provided personal protective equipment, ventilators, and hygiene kits to 10 countries and emergency relief to victims of Hurricane Laura in Haiti and Louisiana.
