Lebanese American Chamber of Commerce Midsummer Night Affair

The annual Lebanese American Chamber of Commerce Midsummer Night Affair took place July 28 at the Detroit Athletic Club to formally greet new FBI Detroit Special Agent-in-Charge Timothy Waters. Around 75 people attended the event sponsored by Survey Instrument Sales. The night opened with a salute to everyday heroes, welcome remarks by Stephanie Fakih, Bloomfield Township trustee, and a surprise rendition of Stevie Wonder’s Happy Birthday to Martha Reeves by jazz recording artist Kimmie Horne and gospel artist Christina Barr. Guests dined on Detroit favorites including coney dogs and deep-dish pizza. The Midsummer Night Affair is the sister event to the chamber’s Winter Welcome Wassail in January. // Photographs by Patrick Gloria
