Leadership Macomb is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in Sterling Heights that offers a network of informed leaders who understand the roles and relationships of people and systems that support the community. Its core program is an 11-day cohort of approximately 50 people who receive in-depth education about the county’s systems and issues led by subject matter experts. Topics include government, education, workforce development, business, justice, community service, the environment, and more. Since 1996, more than 1,200 people representing 135 organization have completed the program. A similar program is available for incoming high school juniors, that alongside the topics of the core program, helps prepare them for their future beyond high school.
