The Lake Shore Foundation for Educational Excellence was established in 1986 for the purpose of using charitable contributions for the benefit of all Lake Shore Public Schools’ students. These funds go toward educational activities and resources not provided by the schools, including mini grants to teachers for specific programs, supplementary books, classroom equipment, and electronics such as computers. The organization is separate from both the Lake Shore School District and Board of Education, and is governed by a Board of Trustees.
