Inaugural Deaf and Loud Symphonic Experience

The Deaf and Loud Symphonic Experience, a concert featuring the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and deaf artists Dame Evelyn Glennie, Mandy Harvey, and Sean Forbes, took place Sunday, Dec. 16 at Detroit’s Orchestra Hall. Proceeds benefited D-PAN, or the Deaf Professional Arts Network, a Detroit nonprofit that makes music and culture accessible to the deaf and hard-of-hearing community. The performance was given in American Sign Language and included video.
