Hunger Free in the D Bocce Tournament

More than 150 people attended the Hunger Free in the D Bocce Tournament on July 21 at Palazzo di Bocce in Lake Orion. The event started in 2014 and to date has raised more than $2.7 million for Gleaners Community Food Bank and the Capuchin Soup Kitchen. The tournament was started by the Celani Family Foundation and is sponsored by Lear Corp., Chef Bobby Nahra of Encore Catering, Suburban Collection Showplace, Carhartt, Antonio’s Cucina Italiana, the Rugiero Promise Foundation, Paletz Law, Kroger, and Absopure. The 2021 Hunger Free in the D Radiothon and Bocce Tournament will take place on Nov. 22, 2021, at the same location.
