The Humane Society of Huron Valley is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Ann Arbor that supports the loving, responsible care of all animals in the community. Founded in 1896, the society helps more than 24,000 unwanted, injured, lost, stray, abandoned, and abused animals each year. It offers a variety of services, including adoption, foster placement, emergency assistance with pet food and emergency shelter to keep pets with their families, and a large library of resources ranging from pet behavior health to end of life support information. It also hosts events that include adoption days, spay/neuter days, and community engagement activities like yoga with cats and tiny tails story time.
