The mission of the House of Kadence, founded in 2011 in Southfield, is to empower and support the Black community impacted by domestic violence, homelessness, and involvement with the child welfare system by empowering them on their journey to healing, self-sufficiency, and self-advocacy.

Services provided include safe housing support, advocacy and case management, counseling and healing support, resource and financial assistance, community awareness and education, and maternal and infant health.
