The Friends of the Plymouth Historical Museum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supported by donors. The organization seeks to preserve, teach, and present history through the operation of the museum. Main Street at the Plymouth Historical Museum is a “late 19th-century Victorian recreation of Plymouth’s Main Street, tracing the growth of a small town from the railroad depot to the general store.” Any special exhibits are housed within the Main Street area. In addition, there is the Plymouth Timeline, featuring real artifacts tracking the growth of Plymouth, while the Weldon Petz Abraham Lincoln Exhibit features Petz’ lifetime collection of Lincoln artifacts.
