Friends of Bowers Farm

Friends of Bowers Farm is a nonprofit started in 2010 to benefit the 93-acre Bowers Farm, which is owned by Bloomfield Hills Schools. The mission is to support the property and programs that go on around the farm, and cultivate the community through education and engagement with agriculture and the local food system. Animals such as sheep, horses, cattle, and goats graze the pastures at the farm. There’s also acres of vegetable production, community gardens, and curated horticultural gardens.  The authenticity of a small-scale working farm connects students and the community to where their food comes from.
