Friends for Animals of Metro Detroit is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Dearborn dedicated to the rescue, protection, and adoption of companion animals in need and creating bonds between those animals and their adopters. It provides animals comfortable housing and medical support at its Animal Adoption and Education Center. Founded in 1996, it has grown to offer youth volunteer programs, animal fostering programs, and other events and programs that seek to educate the community and improve the lives of animals.
