Family Literacy Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Lapeer that seeks to increase literacy through support and empowerment. For adult students, the organization helps them earn their GED through individual tutoring at no cost. It also offers adult basic skills tutoring for those who need to improve their reading or math skills, and ESL and citizenship tutoring for those wishing to improve their English or study to obtain U.S. citizenship.
