DSMA Charity Golf Scramble 2024

The Detroit Sports Media Association (DSMA) hosted its 37th annual Charity Golf Scramble on July 8 at Cherry Creek Golf Club in Shelby Township. Approximately 200 golfers participated, including media celebrities, pro athletes, and guests. The day included an 18-hole golf scramble, a dinner, a live auction, and an awards presentation. Founded in 1955, the DSMA Charity Fund originally was a scholarship program designed to help one individual reach higher education opportunities. Since then, the DSMA has generated more than $500,000 in gross revenue for scholarships, broadcasting program grants for high schools, and causes like the Michigan Athletes with Disabilities Hall of Fame, Gleaners Food Bank, Detroit Lions Academy, and more. // Photographs by Patrick Gloria
