The Detroit Public Schools Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that raises money to support the Detroit Public School Community District students. Along with fundraising, it offers grants to teachers, schools, and nonprofits; acts as a facilitator and connector between schools and programs to supporters; and provides information to help the public understand the opportunities and challenges experienced by those working in educational institutions. It has awarded grants to literacy and early childhood education programs and STEAM programs in the area.
