Detroit Area Pre-College Engineering Program is a nonprofit organization based in Detroit with more than 40 years of experience partnering with universities, training programs, and K-12 school systems to connect youth to the best science, technology, engineering, and math educational experiences in Michigan and beyond. Students are between the ages of 4 and 18 and attend public, private, charter, and home schools. The organization teaches artificial intelligence, renewable energy, robotics, computer coding, engineering, drone certification, and ACT/SAT preparation, among others. The students work in laboratories on college campuses and meet engineers, doctors, scientists, and college students, along with others.
