Detroit-based CultureSource is a member association for nonprofit arts and cultural organizations in southeast Michigan. It works to advance creative and cultural expression in the region and is a resource for growing creative and leadership capacities, providing space for exchanging ideas, and leading initiatives that build public access to inspiring experiences. The organization hosts professional development workshops that grow creative and leadership capacities, presents programs for exchanging ideas about arts and culture, and leads initiatives that brings together stakeholders interested in the public accessing creative expression. It was founded as the Cultural Alliance of Southeastern Michigan in 2007 and became CultureSource in 2013. Members include the Arab American National Museum, Automotive Hall of Fame, Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, Cranbrook, Detroit Institute of Arts, Detroit Public Television, The Henry Ford, the Detroit Historical Museum, and more.
