Corewell Health Children’s pediatric programs have received $1.8 million in grants from Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH). These grants will be used to enhance pediatric programs at Corewell Health Children’s locations for spring/summer 2025. Of special note this funding cycle is the support of two programs: the LAUNCH (Learning, Advocate, Understanding, Nurture, Coaching, Hope) Program and an Audacy Media partnership. The LAUNCH program is an initiative developed at Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital designed for young adults with special needs, including those on the autism spectrum. The program helps them develop new skills, gain experience in the workforce, and explore their interests and aptitudes through volunteering that eventually leads to employment opportunities in the health system. Funding will support the expansion of this program to additional hospitals. The partnership with Audacy Media was formed to offer pediatric patients an opportunity to meet and learn from experts in the media field and will be tutored by national music artists to learn lifelong skills in music, instrumentation, recording, and broadcasting.
