Since 1983, the mission of Community Homes Inc. in Royal Oak is to provide a safe, supportive, and structured living environment for people with developmental disabilities and let them exercise their right to make choices, grow, and contribute to their community. To this end, the nonprofit organization creates an environment that enhances the self-direction of individuals receiving services; maintains open communication between staff, providers, and consumers; ensures internal quality assurance through ongoing assessments; and increases community awareness, understanding, and acceptance of individuals with developmental disabilities.
