The Community Foundation of St. Clair County has given more than $42 million in grants and managed 280 charitable funds since 1944. The foundation runs programs designed to support women’s initiatives, completing education goals, and youth programming. In its giving, the foundation prioritizes two main areas: community and economic growth, and college and career success. The foundation does this through its Giving Center and by offering grants and scholarships. Recently, the foundation has helped the Port Huron Northern High School Drama Club put on “Mamma Mia!” through a grant from the foundation’s Youth Advisor Council. In addition to giving money and scholarships, the foundation also helps businesses, nonprofit funds, and advisers raise and distribute money wisely.
