CHAMP: Cancer Hope Alternative Medication Partners in Shelby Township was founded in 2024 by two parents who lost their son to cancer. Its mission is to help provide comfort and relief to cancer patients struggling with pain and other symptoms associated with cancer and treatment for the disease. It offers credits to dispensaries to assist with plant-based medication, including cannabis products. It also offers gas cards to assist with transportation to and from appointments, as well as cash stipends to assist with a family’s greatest need, such as rent, utilities, and doctor bills.
