Cars & Cigars – Smoke Detroit

The Celani Family Foundation hosted its ninth annual Cars & Cigars Smoke Detroit fundraiser on June 8 at the Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre at Freedom Hill in Sterling Heights. The event was started in 2014 by Tom Celani and Dario Bergamo after a visit to the Fuente’s Cigar Family School in the Dominican Republic. Since then, the Celani Family Foundation and the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation have put together this event which brings together cars, Fuente cigars, Celani Family Vineyards wines, dinner prepared by Andiamo’s, and a live auction for a night of fundraising. Proceeds from the event, which drew 1,600 people, directly benefit children of the Cigar Family School in the Dominican Republic and underprivileged families and children through local Detroit charities, Gleaners Community Food Bank, and Capuchin Soup Kitchen. // Photos by Patrick Gloria
