CARE-ING for CASA: A Voice for Every Child

Care House of Oakland County in Pontiac hosted, “CARE-ING for CASA: A Voice for Every Child,” on June 10 at the Birmingham Pub in downtown Birmingham. The event sought to raise awareness of court appointed special advocates (CASA) — volunteers who work with legal and child welfare professionals, educators, and service providers to ensure the court has all the information needed to make the most well-informed decisions for each child. The evening included music by the Willits Records Band, food, and drinks. Sponsors included Terry and Leslie Murphy, Feldman Automotive, Julia and George Work, Advanced Carrier Technologies, The Barkshire, Meijer, OneCare, and Inner City Trades. // Photographs by Patrick Gloria
