Bellissima Sanctuary is a community based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in the city of Detroit founded in 2020. It’s dedicated to protecting and supporting Black females, including female-identifying persons of the Black LGBTQ+ community, and their children, who are survivors of intimate partner domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. The organization’s Survivor’s Resource Closet is designed to offer a sense of normalcy and security, by providing survivor families with clothing, personal hygiene products, and baby care items.
