Assembly Summit 2024

Detroit-based venture capital firm Assembly Ventures hosted its Assembly Summit on Oct. 23 at The Madison Building in downtown Detroit. Conducted last year in Munich, Germany, this year’s summit’s theme was “The Geopolitics of Movement.” Speakers included Chris Thomas, co-founder of Assembly Ventures; Scott Hiipakka, CEO of the Michigan Israel Business Accelerator; former U.S. Rep. Peter Meijer; and Benjamin Qiu, a partner at Elliott Kwok Levine Jaroslaw Neils. The summit, which showcased in part the nonprofit Michigan Mobility Institute, explored how mobility innovation is shaping global infrastructure, systems, and critical technologies, examining the interplay between policy, technology, and the evolving mobility landscape.
