Established in 1999, the Aptiv Foundation is an independent nonprofit organization supporting Aptiv’s commitment to community engagement and social responsibility. Aptiv is based in Dublin with a Michigan office in Allen Park. The foundation aims to help the communities Aptiv operates in, including metro Detroit, with a specific focus on supporting women, minorities, and diverse groups. In response to the pandemic, the foundation made a $500,000 donation to the GlobalGiving Fund to help communities around the world. The foundation also supports FIRST, an organization that exposes youth to science, technology, engineering, and math through mentorship, competitions, and programming. Additionally, the foundation has an ongoing relationship with United Way. Aptiv’s 2020 partners included Warren’s Winning Futures, the Boston’s Greenlight Fund, Girls on the Run in North Carolina, and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.
