Anthology Senior Living is committed to providing senior care and safe living conditions during the COVID-19 pandemic. The community specializes in caring for those suffering from moderate to late-stage dementia — each of the organization’s team members have a specialized background in dementia care. Additional high-tech systems such as e-records and smart devices are in place to ensure that wandering and exit-seeking residents who have dementia are kept safe. Anthology also offers activities and services for seniors to enjoy and partake in yoga classes, movie showings, fitness and arts programs, and in-house barber/beauty shops. They also take recommendations from residents to implement activities such as specialty workshops and trips to new destinations. All meals served are supervised by a registered dietician and prepared from scratch by in-house chefs that can be tailored for individual residents. Since the start of the pandemic, Anthology has implemented numerous precautions to keep residents safe, including admission bans to limit outside contact, mandatory PPE use, and in-room quarantines. Additionally, the organization has shown a commitment to team members by increasing their hourly wages and expanding paid time off benefits in wake of the coronavirus pandemic. The company’s Michigan locations are in Northville, Rochester Hills, and Troy, with a Novi location slated to open this year. It has communities in 11 states.
