Angela Hospice Home Care is a nonprofit in Livonia that has been providing end-of-life service to the southeast Michigan community since 1985. Founded by Sr. Mary Giovanni under the sponsorship of the Roman Catholic Felician Sisters, it is dedicated to provide comprehensive, compassionate, and Christ-like care to adults and children in the communities it serves. A registered nurse, Sr. Giovanni began caring for terminally ill people in their homes, but it was always her dream to open an inpatient hospice care facility. The Angela Hospice Care Center opened in 1994 as the first freestanding inpatient hospice facility in Michigan. The organizations core values include respect for human dignity, compassion, transformation, solidarity with the poor, and justice and peace.
