A Girl Like Me Inc. is a Detroit nonprofit organization that launched in 2019 to help at-risk, low-income girls, teens, teen moms, and moms 11 to 25. It provides free diapers, wipes, baby milk, food, new and gently used baby items, clothing, shoes, and personal hygiene kits. It also offers resources, education, support, and basic needs necessary to help girls and young mothers make educated decisions about their reproductive health and their future. The organization also offers a mentoring program. Its goal is to one day have an apartment building to house teen and young moms that offers services to help them finish school, find a job, and more.
