44th Annual Salute to Distinguished Warriors Dinner

The Urban League of Southeastern Michigan hosted its 44th annual Salute to Distinguished Warriors Dinner on March 23 at the Detroit Marriott Renaissance Center. The event included a VIP reception, a dinner, and a program that honored retired U.S. Rep. Brenda Lawrence; Shirley Stancato, vice chair of the Wayne State University Board of Governors and retired president and CEO of New Detroit Inc.; David Hecker, president and CEO of the American Federation of Teachers – Michigan; retired UAW President Rory Gamble; and Monica L.
