The Detroit Yacht Club was the presenting sponsor for the 2011 Detroit APBA Gold Cup on the Detroit River on July 10. The event, which drew hundreds of fans from across the region, was won by Dave Villwock. It was his ninth Gold Cup win, and fourth straight, around the 2 1/2-mile course.
