13th Annual Rugiero Casino Royale Fundraiser

The Rugiero Promise Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2011 by Anthony Rugiero, presented its 13th annual Casino Royale event on Oct. 14 at the ICON building on Detroit’s waterfront. The theme of the evening was “A Night in Monte Carlo” and attendees enjoyed food, a specialty bar, casino-style gambling on authentic tables with professional dealers, live entertainment, dancing, raffles, grand prizes, and both silent and live auctions hosted by auctioneer Christopher Aslanian. Proceeds from the event will benefit diabetes research at Michigan Medicine at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. // Photographs by Lindsay Schweickert
