Zehnder’s of Frankenmuth has opened The Mill at Zehnder Park, a luxury boutique hotel and hospitality destination that transforms one of Frankenmuth’s most historic properties into a one-of-a-kind guest experience along the Cass River.
The opening marks Zehnder’s first new property in more than 20 years, and represents a significant investment in preserving a landmark deeply connected to Frankenmuth’s history while creating a new destination for visitors seeking an elevated stay experience. The cost of the project was not provided.
Originally established in 1848 as part of the area’s early milling operations, the property has been restored and reimagined to honor its historic character while incorporating modern amenities and contemporary design.
Today, The Mill blends exposed original elements, spacious accommodations, and scenic riverfront views.
“The Mill represents an important new chapter for Zehnder’s and for the Frankenmuth community,” says Nick Shelton, president of Zehnder’s of Frankenmuth. “We wanted to create something truly unique, an experience that celebrates the history of this property while offering guests a memorable experience, character, and personalized hospitality unlike anything else in the region.”
The boutique property features four individually designed luxury suites, each offering spacious living areas, fireplaces, exposed beams, and views overlooking the Cass River.
Guests also have access to the Landmark Lounge, an intimate lower-level cocktail destination featuring handcrafted drinks and small plates in a setting that blends vintage industrial charm with modern sophistication.
Located within Zehnder Park, The Mill offers guests a secluded riverside retreat while remaining just steps from Frankenmuth’s dining, shopping, and attractions.
The Mill is now welcoming guests seeking an elevated experience. For reservations, rates, and additional information about The Mill at Zehnder Park, visit themillatzehnderpark.com/.
