WK Kellogg Co. in Battle Creek today is launching as an independent, publicly traded company with the completion of its planned separation from Kellanova, formerly Kellogg Co. The company now trades on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the ticker symbol KLG.

WK Kellogg Co. operates in the U.S., Canada, and Caribbean with brands including Kellogg’s, Frosted Flakes, Froot Loops, Mini-Wheats, Special K, Raisin Bran, Rice Krispies, Corn Flakes, Kashi, and Bear Naked.

“Today is a defining moment for all of us at WK Kellogg Co.,” says Gary Pilnick, chairman and CEO of WK Kellogg Co. “With the spirit of a start-up and a strong foundation of iconic brands and characters, we are writing the next chapter of our founder W.K. Kellogg’s original story. We are confident that as a standalone, publicly traded company, we are well positioned to deliver on our strategic objectives, win in cereal, and create value for customers, consumers, employees, communities, and shareholders.

“On behalf of the WK leadership team and the board, I want to thank our 3,000-plus employees for their hard work and dedication in getting us to this exciting stage. It is a privilege to launch this company and celebrate this milestone alongside them.”

Members of WK Kellogg Co’s executive leadership team rang the opening bell this morning at the New York Stock Exchange.

WK Kellogg Co will remain headquartered in Battle Creek.

Chicago-based Kellanova, meanwhile, will continue to trade on the NYSE under the ticker symbol K and focus on its brands, which include Pringles, Cheez-It, Pop-Tarts, Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Treats, MorningStar Farms, Incogmeato, Gardenburger, Nutri-Grain, RXBAR, and Eggo.

Kellanova also stewards a suite of international cereal brands, including Kellogg’s, Frosties, Zucaritas, Special K, Krave, Miel Pops, Coco Pops, and Crunchy Nut, among others. While the company’s corporate name has changed to Kellanova, the Kellogg’s brand will remain on its products around the world.

Kellanova will maintain dual campuses in Battle Creek and Chicago, with its corporate headquarters located in Chicago. Kellanova’s three international regions in Europe, Latin America, and Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa will remain at their current headquarters.
