Whirlpool’s New Range Technology Reduces Oven Preheat Times

Benton Harbor-based Whirlpool has created a new convection oven that uses special technology to reduce pre-heat times while preparing frozen foods.

“We outfitted our newest slide-in range with purposeful features,” says Jon Hall, a spokesman for Whirlpool. He adds the range, which comes in both gas and electric models, utilizes a new “Frozen Bake” feature that cooks frozen foods, such as pizzas, French fries, pies, and lasagna, faster than non-convection ovens.

The range is designed for flexible installation, suiting both slide-in spaces or existing cutout kitchen spaces. It comes in black, white, and stainless steel and is large enough for baking holiday meals.

The ranges are also outfitted with a 50-minute self-cleaning feature. The ovens retail for between $1,950 and $1,850.
