Warby Parker, the popular retailer of eyeglasses, is opening a store at 304 South Main Street in downtown Ann Arbor on Saturday.
The debut comes after Warby Parker has opened up stores at Troy’s Somerset Collection and in downtown Detroit within the last two years. Overall, the company operates 65 stores in the U.S. and Canada.
In addition to offering eyeglasses, foldable cases, illustrated lens cloths, and books, the Ann Arbor store will include writing utensils is the so-called Warby Parker Pencil Room.
The room will offer dozens of custom-designed pencils lining the walls. Each pencil is emblazoned with one of 100+ original one-liners, available four for $2. The writing instruments were created in partnership with CW Pencil Enterprise
All pencil proceeds will go to 826 Michigan, a nonprofit organization that helps students ages 6-18 find their inner authors and sharpen their writing skills.
