Renovation work has begun on a new Von Maur location at The Village of Rochester Hills at 104 N. Adams Rd. The upscale department store offers apparel, shoes, accessories, cosmetics, and gifts, and the location is slated to open in fall 2020.

The new location will be in the two-story former Carson’s department store and will undergo a complete renovation. Von Maur was founded 147 years ago in Davenport, Iowa and has 35 stores in 15 states. Its locations feature live pianists who perform daily. An official grand opening date has not yet been announced.
Sephora, [solidcore], Barnes and Noble, and Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt were added to The Village earlier this year. The center also includes Pottery Barn, lululemon, Woodhouse Day Spa, Whole Foods, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, and more.
The Village was developed in 2002 by Robert B. Aikens and Associates. It is a 375,000-square-foot outdoor shopping center that includes a pedestrian-friendly streetscape, a fountain, a firepit, gardens, and a children’s park.
